 Dominico - Elemental Horse RPG
« Result #2 on Jul 22, 2008, 11:30am »

In the beginning of this era, the lands of Dominico were sparsely inhabited. Yet, as the rumors of strange magics spread throughout the surrounding lands, what some would call a mass migration began to happen. Equine souls from leagues away seemed to be moving towards the once small lands of Dominico, seeking the promise made by those lands. Those promises, those of Gods and Goddesses, of magic, of immortality, drew the herds together... and with their magical powers, the herds grew stronger.

Now, nearly two decades after the magic began to appear in Dominico, struggles are breaking out. Fire against Ice, Water against Earth, Psychic against Electricity, and Light against Dark... Allies are few and far between, just as enemies are plentiful. There is no such thing as Evil against Good now. There is no room for such a petty strife. No, elements rage in fierce anger, proving much worse than the personal preferences. Now, one's fate is decided solely on what element posseses them. Despite vain attempts, escape of this war is impossible. There is no escape from the Elemental chaos...

Twenty-four years ago, Harry Potter defeated Lord Voldemort, coming out unscathed. Many switched alligiences due to the Imperius curse or family issues. Some were let free but the rest of Voldemort's followers were sent to Azkaban where they would stay. The Golden Trio had saved the magical world. But one group wasn't joyous. Draco Malfoy, Jacob Taylor, and Lidya Le Fay's plans for takeover after Voldemort went down the drain when the Golden Trio was not seriously injured. Now this former Slytherin Trio, as they were commonly known, must fit into the new regime but never forgetting the plans they had when they were young.

But that threat isn't the only thing Head Auror Harry Potter must worry about. Six year prior, his youngest son, Albus, was sorted into Slytherin. Two years later, Lily Potter was sorted into Gryffindor. Now with the whole house as rival Gryffindors, a rift has began to form between Albus and his family and it doesn't seem to help matters that his best friend happens to be Draco Malfoy's son, Scorpius. And it seems that Scorpius fancies the dark arts too, introducing them to Albus. This might be their greatest year yet while their ambition for power grows. The only two people who might be able to talk sense to them is their other two best friends, Rose Weasley and her Gryffindor pal. This band of friends, the New Marauders, better stay close.

In Harry's day, there was ony two trios but now there are four, each one for a house: Gryffindor Trio, Slytherin Trio, Hufflepuff Trio, Ravenclaw Trio. Each trio is fighting to rule the school and now is their last year to try to come out the clear victor. The only thing that these four trios have in common is that they don't like the New Marauders. They're dueling it out while the New Marauders try to spread house unity. James Potter, head of the Gryffindor Trio, wants nothing else to destroy his brother's group. He will find any way to break them up, no matter who gets hurt along the way.

Harry Potter seems to have his hands full, trying to keep his son from distanting himself and making sure that there are any threats against the wizarding world. Will the former Sytherin Trio make a move or just sit there? And will James finally break up the New Marauders during his final year at Hogwarts? Only time can tell...

Imagine yourself in one of the biggest campuses in the country; you have been accepted into one of the most prestigious Ivy League schools ever, the Academy of California: the safest school out there.

Metal detectors are scattered everywhere in the various buildings and entryways. Police men guard the doors to the school both day and night. A lock down system had been installed two years before to keep anybody from coming in or going out during an emergency.

So, that makes this the safest, best place to go to college at.

Right?

A note was found scribbled in the bathroom stall just two weeks ago. Not one student knows about it; almost none of the teachers know about it either.

"This is Dead Ringer speaking.

We're all connected, somehow. You all should realize that.

This chalkboard: it's only a blank slate, like all of your minds. I will now instil the fear in all of you that you tried to do with me... The hazing has gone on far enough. We almost tried to kill each other. It's how hazing works. But now, all of you will fall one by one.

One by one.

Have you figured me out yet?

I'm your God. I'm your Devil. I'm your life, your death...I'm one of you. But you don't know who I am. You'll never know. Have you figured me out yet?

Are you scared yet?

The first murders will occur soon. You have been warned."

Who is this Dead Ringer? Will there actually be a murder? Its up to the members of String Theory to find out.

Piece together clues and pay attention to who you roleplay with. Who knows? They could be the Dead Ringer.

Are you safe?

On September 22, 2004, Flight 815 from Sidney took off from its destination as scheduled--but it never touched down in Los Angeles. On the way, the plane plummeted from the sky and crashed upon an unknown island in the Pacific. The outside world doesn't know where the plane went, and neither do the survivors. Now they must try to survive in the wild, as those back home do their best to locate them. Little do they know, there are others inhabiting the island already...

We're a brand new, intermediate rpg based on the television show "Lost". Canon and original characters accepted, as well as writers of all level. We welcome newer roleplayers to advance their skills, as well as advanced writers.

Melody looked at him, following him as he lead her towards the park. She stayed silent for the most part, lost within her thoughts. She was afraid that maybe he thought she was hitting on him or that she was trying too hard. She didn't want to come off like that, and she was scared that she was now.

Sighing gently, Melody looked up at the sky, feeling the gentle breeze wash over her face. She lowered her gaze to his back and stared at it, keeping a few feet back only so she could think, and not worry about saying something stupid. She was known for saying stupid things, especially at the wrong time.

After a while though, Melody grew bored and annoyed of the silence so she decided to speak, not sure if she was sounding stupid or something. "So Sean, any lucky girl in your life?" she asked, not remembering if she had read anything in the tabloids about that.

Sean leaned against the side of the building as he waited for her answer, completely relaxed. He hadn’t noticed how hyped up he had been until they were in the small space between the buildings; probably being away from the coffee shop and the caffeine was helping him to slow down again.

He watched as she thought for a minute before she responded "How about a park? I really don't feel for sight-seeing right now, besides I promised I'd go with Glenn and Alyson sometime" and offered him a smile. He actually preferred this option to showing her around London. He wasn’t a big fan of tourist destinations, he found them over crowded and over rated. He preferred the simpler things that people sometimes didn’t value enough to go there. Nature was one of those things he valued very highly.

He also didn’t want to come between her friends, especially since she had already mentioned that she couldn’t stand being with them for too long. The three winners must not have been that good of friends if she’d have been so open about their difficulties with him; a complete stranger. Maybe things were more complicated than that though, but it wasn’t his place to ask, so he didn’t comment on it.

“I think going to the park sounds like a good idea,” he said with a wide smile, appreciating her choice of venue. He knew a very nice park not too terribly far from where they now stood as a matter of fact.

"There's not a lot of places that I know about here or anywhere in Europe really. I mean there's countries I want to go to like Ireland, Scotland, Germany." she said looking up at him, it wasn’t until now that he noticed how much taller than her he actually was. "Though my heart is set on seeing Scotland first. I want to see how beautiful the country is plus I would be able to hear the delicious Scottish accent all the time, after all, its my favourite" she continued, smiling up at him.

Was she hitting on him? Quite possibly, he couldn’t yet decide whether he approved or not, he barely new the girl for Heaven’s sake. Obviously she knew he was form Scotland, almost anyone who knew him knew that he was from Glasgow, and the Scottish accent was also a bit of a dead giveaway. He chose to ignore the comment for now, not wanting to hurt her feelings or encourage her any farther.

Yes, the view in Scotland is very nice, well at least on my side of it. There’s nothing like being at the top of a hill and looking out over the country side. It’s very picturesque.” Sean could recall moments like that with surprising vividness, things like that tended to stick with you through your life; there was just nothing like it in the world. ”Though I cannot say that I notice the Scottish accent all that much, English accents yes, but no Scottish. That’s probably because I grew up around people speaking it,” he said with a smile. ”C’mon, I know a park not too far from here,” he said, stepping out into the street to lead the way he knew so well by now.

Melody looked up at him, smiling gently. There weren't too many places around London that she knew about so there wasn't a lot of places that she wanted to go. Besides, she had promised Glenn and Alyson that they would all go sight-seeing together before the end of the week. She knew that date was going to be coming up quick and a portion of her just didn't want to return.

Sighing gently, Melody shook those thoughts away as she tried to think of somewhere that they could go. "How about a park? I really don't feel for sight-seeing right now, besides I promised I'd go with Glenn and Alyson sometime" she said with a smile, hoping she hadn't hurt his feelings or anything. That would have really torn her apart if she had.

He noticed how she once again drew her fingers through her deep brown hair. It was now also the time he really noticed the remarkable shade of it. It wasn’t that it was unusual in any way, more that it was so ordinary but it just looked so different on her, against her pale skin. Maybe he was in deeper trouble than he thought.

So, um, what are we going to do now? she asked, meeting his eyes. To be truthful he didn’t have a clue. He had been in London so often that things had lost that first interesting shine that only people new to the area seemed to notice. He made a poor guide anyway, in his opinion he was pretty boring to listen to but he wouldn’t turn the girl away now, not after she had ran away from his fan girls with him.

Thinking of that he felt bad; usually he loved his fans, as surreal as it seemed to him that people would find him fascinating enough to treasure a simple scrap of paper with his name written across it never ceased to amaze him. Needless to say when he started acting he had never thought that he would become this popular, even though compared to other people he was fairly obscure, he couldn’t imagine what it must be like for other people who were more famous than him like Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliff. It must be pure torture to never have a minute to yourself.

I think we’ve done enough running for one day she said with a laugh. He didn’t laugh out loud but he gave her a weak smile feeling rather foolish. He had to admit they probably had looked quite the pair running down the street.

I dunno, I was thinking maybe we could fit in a triathlon or two before the days done,” he joked, rather pathetically. “Well, I know London alright by now, if there’s anywhere you haven’t been yet, I could take you there. Be your own personal escort, though I can’t guarantee that we might not get stopped again. He did know London pretty well by now actually, and had been to most of the more popular tourist sites and by now she surely hadn’t been everywhere, had she? After all she had to be spending some time at the set which was a pretty tiring place to be; not exactly leaving a lot of time for sight seeing and relaxing.

Melody glanced down as he brushed the dirt from her sleeve. She smiled, noticing how sweet he was being yet again. She couldn't find one time so far when he was being sweet, or in her mind, attractive. She sighed heavily and looked away from him, feeling the heat that was in her cheeks before, leave once more. At least now she didn't have a red or pink face. That wouldn't be very attractive on her pale skin.

Returning her gaze to him, Melody smiled sheepishly, running her hand through hair again, moving it from her face but also just moving it around, at least it gave her something to do. "So, um, what are we going to do now?" she asked, looking up at him. She just now realized how tall he was compared to her and it made her feel even shorter than before. "I think we've done enough running for one day" she said, laughing softly once more.
